How many naps per day?

My son is almost 6 months and still taking 4 naps a day most days. I’ve tried to get him on a 3 nap schedule but he never naps for more than 35-50min with a 2-2.5hr wake window. Idk how to get him to drop a nap without making everyone miserable with his fussing 😩

With those cat naps, I think 4 is fine. He will drop one soon on his own!

I don’t really track but we’re at 3 I think. Usually 2 30 min ones and 1 hour+.

I would leave it at 4. 3 naps is only a guideline and if your baby needs more then there’s no harm in that

If he needs to sleep let him sleep, you don’t need to drop anything. 
Mine sleeps 7-7 (still wakes up for feeds) 
7am - wake up 
9am breakfast 
10am - 30/45 mins 
12/1 - 1 hour 
3pm - 30 mins 
5pm dinner 
5:30pm 30 mins 
7pm bedtime

My son have the same nap time 30-35mins every 3 hours, but sometimes he takes 1 and half hour nap when I play lullabies.

It depends how early he wakes up and how long his naps are 🤷🏼‍♀️ but we’re almost always 3 or 4 naps. And most of his are pretty short too...30-45 min. But there’s generally one long one that’s over an hour.

6.5 months here and she will take either 3 or 4 naps. Same thing with 30 minute naps and about 2 hour wake windows. Our 3 nap schedule right now:
6:30/7 wakes up 
9 am 30 minute nap in crib
11:30 am 30 minute nap in crib
2:30 pm 2 hour nap (she naps on me every afternoon to get the 2 hours)
7:00 pm bedtime 
I can’t even imagine getting down to 2 since it was such a struggle to go down to three! I’m hoping she will eventually nap longer in her crib. Either that or her wake windows will have to increase to 3-4 hours.
