How to feed newborn when waiting for milk to come in?

Or do you typically have enough colostrum to feed them while the milk comes in? Sorry if it’s a stupid question I feel dumb but I really wasn’t sure how it works!

Colostrum is enough. Also nursing frequently is going to help bring your milk in. So giving baby formula now would really have a negative effect on your milk supply if you’re wanting to breastfeed.
