Watching what you say?

I’m from Jersey and we curse (a lot). I swear in this state, we use curse words like they are commas! My girl seems to learn a new word every day. Should I already be watching what I say? When does that really start? I don’t want her to be the kid in daycare who teaches all the other kids the bad words. It’s going to be like learning a new language not being able to curse! 😂

Ugh already know I’m going to struggle with this. I have a wicked potty mouth 🙈 my brother basically says fuck every other word 😂 my dad has given me crap about it since my son was a baby and I always tell him “so long as he uses swear words in the proper context it’s fine” because I know that answer drives him up the wall 😂😂

We try to be careful. I said shoot today and of course now my 16 month old is walking around saying shoot 🤦🏻‍♀️ I remember visiting a very religious grandparent and my then 2 year old was walking around saying God damnit 😳 They pick it up so fast! Of you don't want your little to say it at all you really have to watch what you say and definitely reach them it's not appropriate in most situations.

Yes definitely have to watch what you say. I’m not too bad unless I hurt myself but for my husband it was a big learning curb. The other day my husband accidentally let the f word slip and she repeated it instantly and wouldn’t stop saying it for the next few hours. Lucky she went to sleep and forgot about it in the morning but they are serious sponges!

We definitely watch what we say. We obviously slip up a lot but we try. They are seriously little sponges at this age. My girl is copying us a lot lately and that’s the last thing I want her to copy! Lol
