I’m struggling to pick a washer and dryer. It’s my first purchase, and I want to be sure to pick a good set. My mom told me to stick with Maytag or Whirlpool because they’re the easiest to get parts for. She has a Samsung set and I really like it, but they had a maintenance guy look at the washer because it “spins too loud” for my dad’s liking, and apparently the maintenance guy didn’t have anything good to say about the Samsung washers and dryers. What I’m looking for is something larger but not like, extremely large as I live in an apartment and the space where they go isn’t too huge. 27” width or something close to it would be preferable. I don’t know that I’m a fan of the agitator in top loader machines, I’ve only had to use a machine with one of those a few times in my life. But I would be open to a washer with one of those if there were positive experiences associated with it. I’d like something long lasting, with child locks and smart controls. I’m willing to spend up to 2,500$ on a set. Does anybody have any recommendations? Is there a set/brand out there that you absolutely love?
