EBF - but how much milk is normal to pump in 10 minutes???

My 6 week old is EBF but the last couple of days has had some latch issues so I pumped bc I was a bit full/uncomfortable. I pumped for 10 minutes and got 8.5 ounces. Is that a lot? I feel like that’s a lot.

Any amount is fine if it’s just extra.

That’s really good. I was getting like 7-8oz in my first morning pump from like 3-6 months. And then my supply tanked to 3-4oz. I’m jealous 😩

That is a lot! But dont worry you will regulate a bit more. I was the same way. My baby fed for 5 min on ONE boob but I would pump for 10min on both boobs. This is because baby is more efficient than the pump and so far that tactic hasnt messed with my supply. Eventually baby went to 10min total (5min on each boob) and I still pump 10min total. I used to get 4oz per boob and when I regulated more with baby it cam vary from 2oz per boob to 4oz on one and 2oz on the other. Etc...mine is 4.5 months now.

That’s amazing!! I pumped 2-4 oz in 15 min. Sometimes even less.
