Im not sure which group this belongs in but I got a medical bill for a uti and it is so expensive I was uninsured and I’m 18. My parents didn’t know I went because I thought they would think I was sexually active and I live in a very religious home so they would be disappointed ofc. I’m a full time college student and I don’t work sadly bc of schedule and I cant afford to even pay half of it??

So my question is, What happens to medical bills that can’t be paid?!!! I’m really worried and having anxiety attacks I just don’t know what to do, who would have thought a simple uti would be so expensive??
