Anyone have this kind of carseat yet?

My 3 1/2 year old is 40 lbs. thinking of getting this??

If my kid was over 40lbs and I didn't already have a seat that stays rear facing longer I'd probably get one of those.   We do have a hybrid booster in the grandparents car that is rated forward facing from 25lbs I believe. I see no problem as long as they meet the safety requirements.

Your child needs a harnessed booster seat! Graco has one for $90 on Amazon that goes up to 65 pounds for the harness.

I want to switch my daughter to something like this. She’s about 44lbs and I’m not sure how tall but she is super tall. I just don’t think she is mentally ready for this. She would have to sit still and not mess with the buckle or try to get out of her seat so I don’t think it’s time. I’ve heard a general rule of 4’s for these. 40lbs, 40” tall, and 4 years. I might just wait til her car seat now caps out at 50lbs.

They are the best. We also have the Chicco one because that one doesn’t have the bolt straps that snap into the actual seat of the car. The Chicco one feels safer IMO

Ops, I always hit the send button to soon. I'm suprised to learn everyone's kids are so much bigger! Last time we where at the doctors out kid was in like the 80th percentile for weight and height. I wonder if he is starting to fall behind
How tall is your kid if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not sure my kid is 35 pounds so he is still rear facing.
