Does your baby throw up from overeating?

My baby has done this 5 times in his 9 weeks of life. So not often enough to be seen by a doctor but often enough that it bothers us and I was wondering how common it is. Is there anything I can do to help prevent it? He breastfeeds so it's hard to know how much he's getting. He's completely healthy in all other ways.

Is it throwing up? Or is it spitting up? There’s a difference. 
If it is like just a little bit coming up that’s completely normal to happen every once in a while. 
If it is like projectile vomiting, then they either over ate, reflux or there’s something in your diet that didn’t agree with them 
Ways to prevent are keep them upright for 5-10 mins after eating. Burp between switching breasts. You could also try different positions. ￼
But by the sounds of it baby is completely fine if it’s only happened a handful of times. My oldest had severe reflux& would literally projectile vomit after eating. Then barf all. Day. Long. Constantly spitting up or throwing up between feeds.

My baby did this as well. Usually it was during her witching hours when she would scream and act super hungry and then continuously pop on and off the breast. In our case she just wanted comfort and would be getting too much milk so we introduced a dummy and that cut down on the vomiting a lot.
