We thought this is what we wanted to do at first but after reading about it more and discussing it with the pediatrician, we learned you end up putting them more at risk by waiting in between so we decided to stick to the cdc schedule and my son did well each time. I felt a lot better after talking with the pediatrician about it before my son was born.

I thought about it but didn’t for two main reasons. The first was not only would they not be protected for longer, in some cases, it would push out when they could do the next dose for that specific one to be fully protected. The second reason was putting them through multiple appts rather than getting them all over with at once. She got four (the shots and an oral) and the nurse was super fast. 30 seconds and all 4 were done and she was a happy baby nursing on my boob. I don’t see the point in putting her through that again and dragging her into a doctors office more than necessary when she’s that young.

I asked about it, and our pediatrician said he could do it, but said it was pretty much pointless to do that. So we never split them. It feels like they get a lot, but some vaccines are combined, so they get less pokes than they do vaccines. Babies are so resilient. It’s harder on us than it is them.

Yes, I did a delayed schedule with all of my children. Our doctor was supportive.

We were going to until I found out insurance wouldn't cover the extra appointments and we would have to pay the office visit and the shots put of pocket since there wasn't a medical reason to delay/space out the vaccines. The pediatrician also said spacing them out can lead to issues with the next dosage and they might not be fully protected or protected long enough. And again we didn't have a real need to space them out so I said screw it. The shots are super quick and I'd rather them do it all at once than have her poked all these different times

Yes! We won’t ever get more than two shots at a time. It does require more doctors visits but I’m fine with that :)

We’re on a two year schedule instead of getting them all in the first year.  It’s worked out for us.  But to each their own.

It's rather funny how that is recommended... Here they recommend the absolute opposite and the appointments are free so it's not like it brings them more money or anything.
Too many shots together could result in the shots not working or the baby being "overdosed?" per my pediatrician.

Yes we wanted to do that but without work schedules, it was a logistical mess. Plus with Covid, that’s more trips to the doctors and more chances to get sick. So we ended up only doing what was recommended per the cdc.
