Piggybacking off of another post here: When does someone become a father? I know this is similar to the other post, so delete if not allowed, but I’m curious.

Is it the moment of conception, the moment they find out the other person is pregnant, the moment they hold the baby, or some other time?

More importantly to the discussion I guess is this: Do you think society has differing expectations of what it means for a someone to embrace their role as a father versus someone embracing their role as a mother?

Most of the comments on the other post were “whenever she wants to be a mom” so I’m just curious if the same applies to fatherhood

For me personally, I felt like a mom as soon as I found out I was pregnant, but I know it took my husband a little bit longer to feel like he was a father
