Tips for baby who hates tummy time?

My 3 month old HATES tummy time! I get about a minute in before he is slobbering all over the floor and crying 🤦‍♀️ he’s a big, healthy boy but could barely lift his head. Any tips?

Every time you change his diaper do a few minutes. Just flip him over an away you go.

My son always did better doing tummy time on my chest. He hated tummy time on the floor until he could hold his head up on his own pretty well.

Mine hated it as well. Still did it a few times a day even though he’d be pissed. Lol now he’s doing much better with it and can finally lift his head up! 4 months old

Mirror that he can only see himself if he lifts his head. Helped our daughter a lot.

Put him on a colorful mat and add toys. Try only doing a minute or two at a time but more often. Lay him on his back and grab him by the hands and slowly lift him until his head is off the floor and if he doesn’t lift his head put him back down. Repeat that a few times. Do this as an exercise a few times a day. Do tummy time on your chest. Lots of ways to strengthen his head control and core muscles! My son is also big and has a big head (99th percentile) but we do all these things and he has great head control, he will be 3 mo next week ☺️ hope this helps ❤️

montessori toys were helpful for some moms i know but you would have to find age appropriate which i think the options are limited? i’m not sure there are plenty of online stores for montessori toys but they’re expensive
