Pain with sex?

So I lost my virginity to my boyfriend in November, and sex is still painful. Not all the time, but it's never like really mind blowing amazing? Today we had sex and it hurt... Like really badly. We picked up some lube to try for next time but I don't think dryness is the issue every time we have sex. Someone please help :(

Also, my parents are strict, so idk how to talk to my mom about seeing an ob/gyn without cueing her into the fact that I'm having sex
