Covid vaccine?

Question

Any breast feeding mamas get the covid vaccine? I’m looking for some thoughts since I’m a teacher with the opportunity to get the vaccine next week.

I am not doing it while breastfeeding. Too many unknowns right now. Also a lot of controversy from doctors whether it is ok or not.

I’ve been reading what the major healthy orgs in the US and UK have been saying and they both say you’re good to breastfeed.

Everything I've read says it's totally safe for you and your baby. In fact you should pass some antibodies to your baby through your breast milk keeping them safe.

I mean, I personally won’t get the vaccine. We just don’t know long term effects, but we do know that no company will be held accountable for any that emerge. That’s not a risk I’m willing to take with an illness that has over a 99% survival rate. Also, the military has made the vaccine optional, which is definitely a red flag, as they vaccinate for pretty much everything under the sins 
Do I think the most vulnerable should get vaccinated? Absolutely. 
And I think we should vaccinate all teachers if it would motivate them to get back to school and educate our children.

I got the Pfizer vaccine when pregnant and was totally fine. Both Pfizer and Moderna are mRNA vaccines meaning it wasn't made with the virus so you're not getting the virus but your body will make all the antibiodies. For those on the fence, all of these vaccines will prevent you from getting moderate to severe symptoms and most importantly keep you away from the hospital. As a teacher you'll be exposed to an environment that those who can work from home can afford to wait. I am a healthcare worker so it is a no-brainer for me to get it, plus I pass on the antibodies to my child. I have had co-workers whose babies got covid last year and that is the last thing I want happening to my baby.

I'm scheduled to get my first dose this coming Friday, currently breastfeeding a 3 week old. I talked about it with my OBGYN while I was still pregnant and she informed me that not only was it perfectly fine to get,  but that she recommended it as well. Everything I've seen so far says that it seems to be safe and passes antibodies to your baby. That makes it 100% worth it to me.

I havent gotten the vaccine, but here  is what doctors on youtube are saying. Both are certified doctors, one is an OBGYN.
