Toddler can't walk after shots (Update)
My son had his shots today 2 in 1 leg and 1 in the other he is 2 so its a little late but due to covid I have been putting it off. He hasn't moved much but I knew he would be feeling off so I put it down to that then he said he wanted to play with his cars so I said of course and he sort of shuffled to his cars then he asked me to carry him back which is not like him he is usually so active. After this he kept saying he cant walk and when he tried to put pressure on his legs he cried so I have had to carry him and help him do everything. He fell asleep but woke up half an hour later crying in discomfort so I pulled him out of bed gave him more calpol for his fever and he just kept complaining that his legs hurt and wouldn't let me touch them. He has fallen back to sleep now in our bed I have stripped him down to help with the fever. I just wondered has any one else had this with their child after shots where they can't walk or struggle to walk. As it isn't an emergency I am going to wait until morning to call the doctors.
UPDATE
Thanks for all your responses. He didn't sleep much through the night so I let him sleep until around 11am then he jumped up out of bed like a spring chicken asking for his new car I bought him as a treat for being brave 🤣 he has been fine it is still tender and bruised at the injection shit but other than that it has been fine and he has been fit and well today. I did call the doctor just to inform them of how he had been incase there was any changes and she just said it will of felt weak and painful as it was in his muscle. I absolutely hate putting my babies through that even though it isn't that painful its just horrible seeing their little faces in shock because they aren't used to feeling pain and he has never cried like he did either which was awful to see. Thank god its over and done with though. Thanks again to all you concerned mammas 🥰😘
