So my boyfriend and I share the same birthday month(March). His birthday is the 18 and mines is the 22. Ever since I found out his birthday I have always said we were going to do something. That it’s a special day and I want to be apart of it. Well tonight I asked him if he wanted to go anywhere special since he never really asks for anything. He then informs me that he doesn’t really do anything for his birthday then switches it up and says that he’ll probably go to his best friend’s house for a cookout and that’s how he’ll celebrate it. Not taking No for an answer I ask if his second job (it’s seasonal )will have started by then and he says that it might be and if it does him, his best friend and the best friend’s wife will go traveling to celebrate his birthday and the start of the job.

So tell me if I’m being silly. But I find birthdays to be special and I want to celebrate with him as it’ll be the first birthday we celebrate as a couple. He has no plans for my birthday either so should I feel hurt that he wants to spend more time with his friends than me or the fact that I’m not invited to this little trip ? I’m feeling some type of way. I need some advice
