Carter for a girl?

I’ve always loved the name Carter, but didn’t use it with my first two sons because it was so popular for boys. I feel like the name could be used for a girl and like that you wouldn’t know her gender on paper (like my name - Taylor). Just curious what others think when they hear it :)

There was a short lived tv show called Finding Carter, the main character was named Carter.
Also in Disney’s movie, Princess Protection with Selena Gomez, her character is called Carter.
So I say go for it, I love it for both genders 💕

My sister named her daughter Karter and I thought it would grow on me but it hasn’t :/ I just think it’s too harsh for a baby girl. But my sister and her baby are happy and healthy so that’s all that matters.

I would assume Carter was a boy rather than not knowing her gender. Taylor is used so much for both genders that’s why it’s neutral but Carter is not.
You could use Cartier though, similar but more feminine.
