When did you ladies get pregnant again after already having a baby?

Had my son two months ago and already having baby fever. Yikes!! 😳

Our intention was to ttc so that the littles would be approximately 2 years apart.  That would give me plenty of time to recover and enough time to really focus on my son before diving in to another pregnancy and infant.  Then we decided we were done instead.  My SO got a V in January and I found out I was pregnant a week later, which happened to be the exact timing we intended to ttc in the first place😂
I know a lot of women get pregnant fast but getting pregnant before 12 months pp for a vaginal delivery and 18 months pp for a C-section raises risks for yourself, your next baby, and takes attention off the previous child during a critical developmental time.  I can attest that having severe morning sickness this time means my son isn’t getting the quality attention he was before.  I can’t imagine having felt like this when he was still an infant.

I think I remember my Obgyn recommending a full year before trying again. I breastfed about 13-14 months and couldn’t have gotten pregnant while doing that anyway if I wanted. I had to stop breastfeeding completely to get a period. We started trying a few months after that. He’ll be 2.5 when my daughter is born next month. He’s just begun potty training and we can talk now, so I feel like it’s a good time for me to handle a second kiddo now

I think I remember having a weird combination of on-off ppd and on- off baby fever at around 2m as well. The next baby was basically all i talked about with my husband. 
But it does get harder. Our baby is now 13m and I’m not even sure we’ll have a second. I’m so glad I waited because the hormones are crazy in the fourth trimester!
But zero judgement to mums who do it back to back! 🌸

Got pregnant with #2 when my son was just 10 months. Hubby and I had mentioned possibly trying once own little one turned one but it happened.

Second pregnancy 3 months PP. 
I discussed it with my doctor and he had no issues with it. Make sure to always consult your doctor.
