Would you press charges?

So after all the shitty things I've been going through here lately, this happened super late last night. My sister can over my place. Which is always cool & welcomed. But late night she was super drunk. She assaulted me because I told her she was being way too loud & kids were sleep. I have health issues that cause me to be weak & not have slot of strength or energy. So I really couldn't fight back to protect myself. I'm so upset. This is just one side of my face. I’m sorry this happened to you. As the victim you should pursue whatever action you feel is best for you. I personally find the justice system to be futile for charges like battery, assault, and domestic violence. I would cut her off and make clear she is not welcome in my home for any reason. I wouldn’t speak to her except in emergency situations and I wouldn’t let her bad energy corrupt my spirit. 
Sometimes you got to let family go and love them from afar.

yes absolutely! being family does not mean you need to let this slide, especially if you might need to get anything checked out by a doctor. however, this will definitely negatively impact your relationship with her so it's up to you.

Yes absolutely because this is uncalled for .you can have an argument and not put hands on someone . Def take action if you're going to like now because they will need to take pictures for evidence . Sorry this happened to you , sometimes family has no respect either .

I don’t know if I personally would press charges... but if you think she may come back I would get a restraining order at the very least. If you don’t think she’ll continue, then I would just cut her off.... maybe one day you can forgive her, but you don’t have to now.
Your family needs to come to their senses. Enabling an alcoholic.... it’s only gunna get worse. What’s mom gunna do/say when she attacks her one night?? Or one of the children......

Has she ever been violent before?  Has she apologized?  You might want to get a restraining order if she has been violent before, because things could always get worse. I’m really sorry this happened to you because she is family and it’s not as easy as cutting her off or getting an order out against her — since you will probably have to see her or have it impact your relationship with not only her but also other family members.
