Solution in Texas

🥳

So we’ve had some great discussions on here about Ted Cruz and/or the issues going on down in Texas (delete if not allowed since there have been similar topics). For those of you who may not be up to speed with the situation, the state of Texas was WOEFULLY unprepared for the massive snowstorm that hit them last week, and their separate power grid (from the rest of the US) failed to keep the electricity going, causing millions to go without important resources, and some to even freeze to death. There’s certainly more, but there’s the nutshell.

My question is this: What’s the solution? Do the people respond in the voting booths? What about a more immediate solve? Last I heard President Biden had issued an emergency declaration to try and provide more federal resources, but he’s also been criticized for not handling the situation quickly enough. There’s lots of debates about fault, but I’m curious about how Texans move on from this. Do they join the US electrical grid, allocate more resources into disaster preparedness? Do they secede (not too serious there, but it seems like they threaten it)?

I know there are some Texans here and my heart goes out to you, so I’m especially curious about your take. Where do we go from here?
