Gerber baby food and formula

Question

Hi! I'm pretty sure everyone has heard about the baby food and formula that has high le els of arsenic in it. Basically very poisonous. Is this really true? If so, what are you guys doing? Should I start making his baby food? My baby needs milk for his main diet. I just don't know what to do. His pediatrician said they do this every few years and scare parents and that it is fine to keep giving it to him but I really don't know.

I made my own baby food but would use some store bought items. 
All food has trace metals. Even the food you make at home will have some. It comes from the soil.

we use this and make our own food i just feel more comfortable with knowing the toxic levels are not 90% more then tap water with making my own food and using yumi baby food

If it was true they would be out of business by now.
I used Gerber small jars to first introduce different fruits and veggies. Once I found my daughter's favorites I made the purees myself. I bought an immersion blender and it worked great and put the food in small Mason jars.

This makes baby food making sooo simple! When my son first started solids I’d make a big batch of puree for him using this and freeze it in small portions so it’s very easy to heat up/feed during meals. Making your own food gives you complete control over the ingredients, plus it’s cheaper, so it’s definitely the way to go!
