Vacation pay? I quit. HELP!

Ok question..
I just quit my job. Been there 6 years. I’m in NC. Is my employer required to pay me my vacation week? I can’t find anything on Google.

It really depends on the company. My company if you don't give a 2 weeks notice you don't get anything but your last paycheck

In my state (Indiana), you have to give two weeks notice and then you get whatever PTO/vacation time you’ve accrued.

I know in my state as long as you quit correctly with 2 weeks they pay you your vacation time-not sick time though

Not sure about your state or specific company but the only time I was paid out vacation pay was when it was pto accrual and it was stated my unused pto was paid out. If it was just a 2 week vacation as part of my benefits package then no. I have worked for several places where unused pto is not paid out you just lose it. All depends on your company. Talk to HR they will know

I’m not sure if it Varys by state but in my state if I leave they’re required to pay all my vacation time, just not any sick time
