Same root name different spellings/pronunciations

Erin

We have a relative named Keziah (very Old Testament). The names Cassia, Kezia, and Keisha are all from the same root word/name coming from a family of spice trees/shrubs.

Looking into name pronunciation of Kezia, I see a mix of correct pronunciation noted as “keh-zye-ah” and “keh-zee-ah”, of which we prefer the latter (and it has the bonus of having a cute nickname of Zia). The other alternative is Cassia, which is pretty and sounds borderline Shakespearean to me, in the same vein as Portia and Ophelia.
