Breakthrough bleeding on birth control

Hello!

I started my birth control journey June 2020 and it started off well. Of course my doc informed me about the spotting that may occur in the first few months as my body adjusted and it was not problematic at all, until as of late. I’m still spotting after 8 months of being on birth control and they honestly seem like a second cycle. It affects intimacy definitely and I don’t won’t to wear tampons and pads daily because I don’t know when it will occur. Any advice?
