Fetal heart tones in both sides of uterus?

I have been able to hear the heartbeat since about 8 weeks with my home Doppler. I still haven’t had a scan and I’m about 11 weeks. I can hear a distinct fetal heart beat (160ish) on the right side of my uterus, and another around 140 on the left side. Does anyone have experience with this? Possibly twins? I have no idea. I definitely know the difference between fetal heart tones and maternal.

The home doppler doesn’t give an accurate heart rate until further along.  At this stage though, because the uterus and placenta are so small, and baby has started filling it a bit, as well as being transverse, you can hear baby from both sides of the uterus.  I could with my son from about 9-13 weeks and then it was strictly on the right after.  I was concerned it might be twins too until my midwife told me why lol

You could be picking up the placenta. Also just picking up baby twice. Further sound waves have to travel, less accurate it is. You’re still eary

Could it be blood flowing through the umbilical cord? Or maybe it is twins 👶🏻👶🏻
