Lean pcos diet?

Kate

Hey guys so I’m really confused at the moment. I have not been officially diagnosed with pcos. I have regular periods, however noticed an increase in hair growth on my face, and some hair loss. I had a blood test and my hormones were all normal apart from my testosterone. It was actually in the normal spectrum but on the highest end (1.67 nmol/l). My doctor has refused to do anything as my periods are regular and therefore I haven’t had a ct however I get a lot of pelvic pain and therefore believe I have cysts I’m my ovaries. I also had a blood test to check my blood sugar, which was actually lower than the normal range, so I don’t know what that means in terms of insulin resistance. Anyway, I wanted to reduce my symptoms/ stop them from worsening so I read that I needed to change my diet. Most people recommend cutting out all sugar and most carbs however I really struggle with this. I don’t want to lose weight, and am actually an athlete training 6 times a week, so when I reduce my carb intake I find that I am completely lacking in energy. I’m so confused about how to deal with this and feel like I don’t really have any support. I have started taking Mac’s powder, Mayo-inositol and spearmint tea aswell but I see so much contradictory advice my head is spinning! If anyone could help that would be really appreciated!!
