Backstory: My friend has been in on & off toxic relationships since I met her 4 years ago. She has an ex that destroyed her property & would pop up at her house being crazy & she’s now sleeping with him again saying he changed. She’s saying they’re moving slow or whatever but I played her voice message out loud last week & my partner was like asking about it & I brushed it off I figured it wasn’t my place he was just concerned because she was saying the stuff he did in the past & he was like he didn’t trust that but then she was over at my apartment last night & We just found out we are expecting a couple weeks ago so my partner has been protective I haven’t told anyone yet not even her but she invited me over for a girls night & he instantly was like hell no she won’t be going over there at all you wanna see her you can see her here. He said this because he’s being protective about the baby & myself safety her ex is toxic & crazy & if she chooses to deal with him that’s on her but me being over there & he pop up or something isn’t safe. I agree with my partner but she feels I’m fake & letting him control me even though I told her I wasn’t comfortable with coming over there anyway since she’s dealing with him again & he’s always there. She’s making it seem like she doesn’t wanna be cool anymore if I’m gonna listen to my partner but he’s right I’m not trying to put myself in danger her ex is unpredictable with a terrible temper.
