So im 6 weeks pregnant and my ob has be on prometrium vaginal suppositories nightly. I've been taking them for about 2 weeks now and just the last week I have been experiencing an insane amount of rectal bleeding when I have a bowel movement along with an intense burning pain during and after the bowel movement that lasts sometimes hours after. I read an excess of progesterone in pregnancy increases the risk for hemmeroids as it naturally relaxes the veins so it makes sense but what in the world do I do to get some relief 😭😭😭 im already using preparation H wipes and cream after every time I use the restroom, tucks pads at bed time and tylenol for the pain. The amount of blood im losing is shocking and my doc said he will test my hemoglobin in a week when I come in for an ultrasound but I've never experienced anything like this. I'm not bleeding between bowel movements so the doc said that's a good sign but im talking worst day of your period minus the clots is how much blood is on the toilet paper and in the toilet after I go and the stool does not smell right, literally smells like metal. I'm so concerned, has anyone else experienced something like this? Any advice?
