Are any of you pregnant momma's planning on tandem nursing?

Question

I am breastfeeding my LO (17 months) but are now expecting a new baby in October..again. Do you plan to continue breastfeeding your older child or will you wean before the baby comes?

My girl is 17 months, I have 39 days until my due date. She nurses once in the morning and before bed, I have no idea what’s gonna happen 😬, not opposed to tandem in theory but can’t imagine nursing 2 babies to sleep.

I am impressed with mammas who can tandem nurse but I knew it was not for me. We weaned at the new year and are expecting baby 2 in June. I wanted there to be a good chunk of time between when he stopped and baby girl arrives. Since we are stopping at 2 I will probably nurse longer with baby girl but we will see. I may just want my body back when she is a year old or a little older

Baby number 2 is due in April and I thought I was gonna HAVE to tandem nurse since my son was an on demand nurser. I ended up weaning him back in February and it was the best decision for me personally although I do admit I cried a few times that week. My son actually started comfort nursing more and more as I got further along in my pregnancy and started to throw tantrums. I knew seeing his baby sister nurse would only make him want to nurse more or maybe become territorial. I also remember how much time I spent sitting on the couch nursing him in those early months, the cluster feedings, and the waking up every 2 hours to nurse and adding in a toddler would probably make me stop nursing sooner than I would like. So I weaned him, my body is catching a much needed break and my son and I are closer than ever. He shows more affection now that he’s not nursing and I can look forward to the opportunity to nurse the next baby! 
Whatever you decide to do, make sure it’s best for you because nursing is beautiful but also demanding of us. Also, CONGRATULATIONS 🎉

Have a 16 month old and due with #2 in August. We just stopped nursing (after gradually getting down to just one feed before bed) 3 days ago. It feels strange but I also knew that tandem breastfeeding just wasn’t for me (serious props to anyone who can do it!!) and wanted to give myself a bit of a break. The gradual weaning was super gentle and my daughter has been totally fine these last few days (I was worried because she seemed to have no intention of weaning at all just a few weeks ago but we did it)!

I ended up tandem nursing my older son and my October baby. My older son was starting to self wean at 2.5 before baby was born.. and then he was super into it again after. Now he's recently turned 4 and I don't think he's going to stop unless I cut them both off... I would like him to wean, but it feels mean to feed his little brother and refuse him when he's still interested.

I’m due in September. I’m still bf my October baby but I really have no desire to bf 2 at once haha. Also, when I went to my first OB visit and I told her I was still breastfeeding, she suggested I stop before third trimester to avoid the risk of preterm labor. I was pretty surprised she suggested that.

My LO is 18 months and I’m due in September.  Hoping he continues to nurse through this pregnancy and planning to tandem feed ❤️
