12 month old

I am a recently single mom. I’m doing this all by myself and I am so overwhelmed with it. I don’t have many people on my side to help. My daughter had her 12 month appointment and she’s doing great. Only thing is I can’t get her to feed herself. She will pick up the food with her hands then throw it or get fussy. The nurse said it’s because I’ve been doing it for her. I know every child is different. Any tips on how I can get her to feed herself? Is she the only baby not feeling herself at this age! I’m in tears writing this
