Does the ultrasound technician tells you anything?

Question

Does the ultrasound technician tells you anything after the ultrasound about everything being fine or not?
I have my first ultra sound tomorrow. Will be around 8 weeks but doctor will see me the day after tomorrow. So will the technician tell me anything or i will have to wait for one more day for the doctor?
And any suggestions how to know myself by looking at scan that everything is fine? 1st pregnancy so i have no clue about anything. Thanks

You are looking for a heart beat at this stage. You could ask to make a video and post it here. I’m sure other mamas could tell ya. But, it your off on your dates at all you might not see a heart beat yet... or ask for a pic if they show you these lines on the bottom of this ultrasound that’s what the heartbeat detection looks like you should also be able to see something in the sac. If you are as far along as you think. But, if you don’t know what you’re looking for many things can look like a”sac” I know the waiting game

Most technicians can not give you “detailed” information, they are not the actual doctor so they can’t say certain things. Usually doctor will come in after ultrasound or contact you after the ultrasound and go over results. Technician can tell you size of follicles, if they see heart beat, tell you how the baby is measuring, if there is multiples, that sort of information but anything else the doctor would have to inform you of.

My tech told me how far I was measuring and showed me different things, the heartbeat, the yolk sac, my cystic ovaries lol

If everything looks good they'll usually tell you that. 
From personal experience when something is wrong they wait for the doctor to tell you...With one of my pregnancies I found out at 16 weeks that my baby was conjoined (1 head 2 bodies). The tech was kind of short with us but didn't make it obvious that something was wrong. My OB brought us back in to show us that baby had extra limbs...I guess the tech wasn't allowed to tell us.

My technician was really quiet and had the screen faced away from me for over half my appointment it made me really nervous. In the beginning she asked if my doctor had any concerns and I was like not that I’m aware of.. it scared me. But then she eventually turned the screen towards me and laughed and said baby was sucking her thumb and was a wiggle worm and took a picture for me. I saw the screen for maybe 5 minutes out of the 40 minute appointment. The next day doctor reviewed the ultrasound and said everything looked normal and there was nothing to worry about. So I said all that to say just wait to see what your doctor says. The technician in my experience was busy measuring and checking things, etc so they’ll likely be very quiet no matter if it’s good or bad.

Depends. When everything is looking good most times they’ll tell you that everything looks good or is fine. If something is wrong then they usually won’t say much, don’t push them for answers either.

They’re usually not allowed to discuss findings with you. Sometimes they’ll let things slip but don’t expect them to as it completely depends on the tech.
