So, I’m on my 2nd pregnancy and I feel like I will get the gestational diabetes diagnosis. My 1st pregnancy was different because I never tested for it and I just watched what I ate. I also couldn’t afford to go to my dr appointments (even with insurance) during that time. My life was very complicated, and it may sound selfish that I didn’t get tested (for the GD) but I never knew that it was ever a thing as I was a first time mom... my 1st baby is now 1 1/2 yrs old and he’s had no health problems.

Anyways, would anyone be able to fill me in on what I could expect? So far I’ve been so thirsty and I need to drink water constantly to feel better. I go through symptoms just as any other pregnancy but I feel like the me being thirsty is something I shouldn’t overlook. I’m about 10 weeks now and I won’t have a dr appointment for a few weeks. I’m open to any knowledge or thoughts about this, this topic is very new to me and would like as much information as possible from any moms that have experienced this.

( ialso have a family history of my mom and older sister going through GD.)
