They need the ability to put their hands and fingers into their mouth.

We never used them and just kept their nails trimmed. We caught our daughter’s nails while still in the hospital. We use nail scissors instead of nail clippers.

Babies need to use their hands to explore! It’s the only way they can learn about the world when they’re that small. No need for mittens ☺️

I only put mittens on my son when he would scratch his face really bad. He gets eczema in his cheeks when it’s cold out.
