Wheening?

What age does everyone think is best to start wheening? 
Some baby foods say 4+ months but my family nurse says not to start until they are atleast 6 months

We started introducing pureed baby food at 4 months, but looking back, I wish I would have just waited until 6 months and gave them some finger foods. Food before 1 year old is just for fun, to teach them how to eat, and not to fill them up, so it's best to still do formula/breast milk until they turn 1, with table foods or purees as a side. Until your baby’s pediatrician says it’s okay. My baby’s told us we can go ahead and start now, she’s 4 months.
