I had my retrieval last Saturday, my RE was anticipating 15-20 eggs based on my follicle scans, estrogen levels, AMH, age, etc. I woke up from anesthesia and they retrieved four eggs and only one was mature. We chose ICSI and got the call today it’s a blastocyst which is what we wanted to see! We’ll transfer in a few weeks, I talk to my doctor next Tuesday on the protocol. Odds were not in our favor and we are just over the moon. This is just one hump but for now we’re taking it all in of this little fighter we have. Given our history of recurrent losses, we were going to do genetic testing but didn’t want to risk the chances of harming the embryo since it’s our only one. I know it’s a small chance but we didn’t want to risk it. Please pray we’ll bring our frosty earth side 🙏🏼
