My mom being catfished.

Ok so I know weird topic but I really need advice. My elderly disabled mother (she has MS and is confined to a wheelchair) is talking to alot of random men online which I am cool with, after my dad died 2 years ago I know she is lonely. But now some of them are asking her to send them money overseas and she was trying to get me to help her.. I refused and got super upset about it because I explained to her months ago when this all started that if she gets asked for money there's something up and not to do it... She said she would never.... Now here she is trying to do it, now I guess my question is am I an ass for not helping her I mean it's her money I just feel very conflicted about this because now I feel like she's gonna get someone else to help her and she will be out alot and maybe if I helped her I would know what's going on. it just upsets me that people are trying to take advantage of my naive mother!!!
