Hey. So I was doing a self check for the thread to my Kyleena IUD today in the shower and it get out of place. The string felt a lot longer than it should and I was able to get two fingers around it and give it a very gently pull. It came right out. My birth control it literally sitting in my dresser drawer in a zip lock bag.

I have 3 biological kids and gained two step kids when I married my husband. We are a family of 7 80% of the week. Sh* gets real.

We’ve entertained the idea of having one together but then we talk finances and we’d have to get a bigger vehicle to fit us all... and we talk ourselves out of it.

I’ve been really tired lately and I just wrote it off as PMS. Then I realized I should’ve started my period today and didn’t.

Freaking out a little. We were active when I was ovulating so it is possible.

I’m a nurse, and I’ve heard of IUDs coming out. Never thought it would happen to me.

If I am we will name it Houdini.
