Prolonged bleeding on the IUD?

I got the Mirena placed on the 11th of February and started my period a couple days after that and have been bleeding ever since then. With clots and everything 😞 I talked to the nurse she said it’s normal but it’s just annoying having non stop bleeding for this long, going on 12 days. Has anyone else experienced this?

I bled for over 8 months with the mirena and then one day it went away and after that I got really really light periods

I spotted for a few months and then no bleeding. When I got a new one in after having baby, it was the same thing. I was happy to stick with it because a minimization of PMDD symptoms and no period was worth it to me.
