Irregular cycles, slight hormonal imbalance but my scan was fine.
Hi! So as the title says, I found out about two years ago now that I have a slight hormonal imbalance, my doctor said it was minuscule and not anything she would actually be concerned about. My scan showed that my ovaries and womb were fine and I was cleared on the PCOS suspicion. However, my cycles are all over the place and always have been. I didn’t get a period until I was around 15, I would go months without one and then have two week bleeds (I was actually told by a doctor that I lose too much blood and given tablets to ease that when needed) I could go a year without a period. They then switched to shorter and normal for a few months and then go longer without again. I went on the pill two years ago after my results but had to come off it after 3 months as sent my body crazy. After that I’ve actually been having periods somewhat consistently (well by my standards anyway haha) but they have ranged anywhere from 32-47 days. According to my app 48 is the average but more often than not they’ve been 47 days. In 18 months I’ve had 13 periods, which again for me is incredible and such a massive improvement but I’m still really annoyed with not knowing what’s going on with my body. Has anyone had anything similar with results from the doctor and had it turn out to be something more? Has anyone had cycles like this and managed to get pregnant when trying? I’m currently on cycle day 49, I’m not pregnant as took a test today and it was negative so I’m just pissed that my cycles seem to be extending again. Sorry for the long post, needed a rant 😂
