We had a small backyard wedding. It was so much better than the big wedding I had planned.

We postponed. All of his family is out of town, and we were planning a winter wedding so isn’t even like we could do something outside. We wanted to make sure the people we want there could be there, and it wasn’t worth it during Covid. I also got pregnant in June, and our city was hit hard with riots over the summer, so on top of everything we didn’t need wedding stress. We talked about doing a small elopement or courthouse ceremony just until we could do a big wedding, but decided against it. We’re now holding off probably until winter 2022 when our little guy is a bit older and we can be sure things with Covid are handled.
