When should I take my infant car insert out of my babys car seat??

He’s almost 4months old and I took it out because he has good neck strength now, was that wrong of me???

If it came with the car seat, the instructions will tell you. If you bought it separately, take it out. Car seats should only be used with whatever they come with, never any extra things unless they were specifically crash tested with that model and state so in the instructions.

You'll have to read the manual that came with the seat. Our Britax seat said take it out after a certain weight

We had to take it out before 2 months.
Our daughter would scream in the car seat and she looked so cramped with the insert.
We took it out and she looked so much more comfortable.

There should be lenght up to what you can use it (it does not depend on months, but size)of baby written on the insert or the manual that is inside the chair.

For our cat seat it said to use only for the lower two strap positions. I'd check your manual or look it up for your specific seat.
