Stopped contracting normal?

So I had some strong  Braxton Hicks last night lost pieces of my plug so went to get checked and I was a very tight 2 and 60% effaced got sent home and now I’m not even having any Braxton Hicks is it normal to just stop contracting all together?

Yes, I was dilated to 4cm starting at 36 weeks and active labor didn't occur until 40 weeks 4 days. That means that my contractions, (people call Braxton hicks fake contracts, but they are in fact real and do the same thing real contractions do just not as productive) and cramps dilated me during that 4 week stretch and I wasn't having constant contractions. Constant contractions that don't stop are considered labor and they will be at a much higher intensity even if the intensity doesn't increase until just before delivery.

Braxton hicks are just that. Irregular contractions. That mean nothing about labor.
Sorry that happened. Happened with my first. I had BH contractions every 2 to 3 minutes for over an 4 hours. No baby for a week
