So to all the moms out there on blood thinners, normally they’re supposed to switch you to heparin around 36 weeks since it’s shorter acting. I was just told my hospital has just stopped doing this and is keeping me on the Lovenox. Has anyone else heard of this or is this just something my hospital is doing? My doctor said they think when they switch to heparin the levels don’t get high enough to be considered therapeutic. Now though, if I go into labor within 24 hours of taking my shot I can’t get an epidural 😬😬. Makes me kind of nervous. Im scheduled to induce in a few weeks and hoping she doesn’t come early now so it can all be timed out.
