I live in low income housing in Louisiana. I get food stamps, not enough, but I make it work. My bills arent that high either. It is a huge blessing that I was able to get a place here. I waited 25 months.

My aunt, bless her heart, has been sending me a bit of money here and there for a few months just to help me out. I lost my job in mid January and it has been really hard. I'm thankful I had money saved up because I don't qualify for unemployment. I have made it stretch, but I'm running out quickly. I've been trying so hard to find a job, but I'm without a vehicle so that makes everything difficult.

Recently I thought I was getting sick with strep throat and I was really scared cause without insurance it could be upwards of $100 at a clinic. My aunt knew this and said she will send money. I told her to wait a day or two to see if I develop white spots or anything else concerning. Well, nothing happened. I didnt get sick. I really thought I was because I have a long history with strep and I know the symptoms well.

Today I check the mail and have a card from my aunt. I laughed and was like smh. I opened it and a bunch of cash fell out (she sends cash cause I dont have a way to cash checks around here and she doesnt understand technology). I counted it at least 6 times. I couldn't believe what she did. I told her to wait and what does she do?? Sends me $300 😭😭 I love her so much for helping me. I don't know how I will ever thank her. I am hoping to be able to get a job soon and that money can strictly be for emergencies. She is amazing and I hope one day I will make enough to help a loved one out the way she helps me ❤
