preparing for baby?

All moms out there when did you start buying things you needed for your baby? like a crib , clothes , diapers , bottles and etc ? Im a first time mom and I’m 20 weeks today , will be finding out the gender in a few days ☺️💕 and I was wondering when would be a good time to prepare for the baby , my sister in law didn’t buy till she’s 33 weeks and till now she only brought formula and diapers that’s it not even a crib yet .

If you know the gender you could buy a few outfits at 20 weeks. I am due August 28th so I’ll probably start in may with some major things. My last pregnancy I had to be induced at 37 weeks due to cholestasis. So I plan to have everything by July for that reason.

Whenever you find a sale. I don't get waiting til 30+ weeks. Two of my kids were born at 36 weeks. Can't imagine having to put all that stuff together at the last minute. It would stress me out big time.

You can start now but maybe wait until after your shower (if you plan to have one) before buying a lot. People tend to buy you lots of clothes and early on items. Then you know what’s left to buy. Also keep in mind after baby is born people like to give gifts of clothes and toys so don’t worry about buying a lot of that.

I started at 18 weeks. I am 21 weeks now and her big stuff like travel set, crib set, pack & play, bouncer, walker, year supply of diapers & clothes are bought (thanks to her grandma's). My family has already sent me things off of my registry so my baby has over 100 outfits I have to wash 😥. I wanted to get started early so I have less to check off my list closer to my due date.

I had my 1st at 35 weeks - If I'd have left things that late i would have been a wreck! I've already picked up a bedroom set for my second (off fb marketplace) and I'm 17 wks

I started buying little things around 12 weeks. I’m 20 and just started buying the bigger stuff, crib, rocking chair, car seat etc. I know too many people who went into labor early to wait that long.

I started early 🤷🏻‍♀️ we found out before Black Friday, so when the deals rolled around we couldn’t resist.

I honestly suggest to start now that way you won’t be stressed about doing it last minute, I’m only 13 weeks and 2 days and so far I’ve stocked up on all the necessities as far as diapers, wipes, bottles, crib, etc. everything except clothes until I find out the gender in a few days.
