When are you announcing??

Question

I’m due on September 8th and everything indicates a healthy pregnancy but I’ve had a miscarriage in the past. I worry about announcing our rainbow baby too soon but we’re past 12 weeks now and that’s considered “safe”. I miscarried much earlier last time and I don’t want to have to un-tell people if there is another one (heaven forbid!)
When are you planning on announcing? I think we may announce around 14 weeks on our anniversary.

Announce when you feel comfortable. If you’re excited and want to share, share! 
I started sharing as soon as I found out and tbh, I didn’t want to be excited alone. I wanted to enjoy my happiness and IF I lose the baby (god forbid and I hope not) I will be honest and share that too. I think it’s truly unfair that women have to be excited in private and also suffer in private. 
If you’re happy or sad, you should be able to have the support. As women, we should share our experience with each other without being shamed or feeling ashamed. 
This is YOUR time, enjoy it doll.

We told our best friends immediately as well as one sibling each. We have a history of miscarriages and learned early on that for us, its better to have someone to lean on if God forbid anything goes wrong. Our first miscarriage we carried the weight alone and it made everything that much harder. The next several were still hard but having that added support was like being in the middle of the ocean and seeing a life raft being thrown to you. At 10 weeks we announced to everyone else. 
Do what feels right for you. Personally, I LOVE the idea of announcing on your anniversary. What a way to celebrate your love & union!

I’m not doing an announcement, but I am 13 weeks today and have felt comfortable telling people when I see them 👍🏻 with my other three I waited to announce on socials until 14 weeks. 💗

We told a few people as soon as I found out, but I don't know when we will tell everyone else. Maybe when I'm in labor, lol.

I have announced it to my immediate family when I was 10 weeks. I had very similar reasons as you did did for not sharing. As for the rest maybe I do it once I know the gender but honestly I’m in no rush to tell anyone that isn’t close to me. I guess they’ll find out when they do.

I did at 13 weeks. We got the nipt and gender back  at 12 weeks.

We told immediate family after my 8 week ultrasound, but I’m now 12 weeks and have no itch to make a public announcement.  With my daughter (my rainbow) we didn’t announce on social until 22 weeks (immediate family knew around 8 weeks though).  I don’t think we’ll wait that long this time, but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️.  Don’t feel like you need to announce at a certain time, do what feels right for you.

I immediately told my close friends. I have had a miscarriage, also, and I need my support team. We told family at 9 weeks after having my initial OB visit (7w3d), then I had a private scan just so I could hear the heartbeat one more time before telling the family (8w6d). We aren’t announcing on social media until after we get the genetic screening results back and know the gender, so sometime around the 14-15 week mark.

Were going to tell close family and friends at 13 weeks. I don't know what I'll do about socials yet not sure if I'll announce or just leave it a bit longer. There's no hard and fast rule you could start by telling more of the people your close too until you feel comfortable.
