At what age did you realize you wanted to have kids?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 4 years now and whenever we think of having children we both dont know if we do. We always think "maybe... let's wait and see".
I'm curious how other women have decided they wanted to have kids? Have you always wanted to have kids or does the realization dawn upon you?

I never wanted to have kids, the first time it was mentioned to me it scared me, when I was 10. I thought about it positively when I was 14, but then moved on from that idea when I wasn't really sure if I wanted that type of life or if I wanted a relationship even. 
At 20 years old I decided I never want kids & it has been 12 years since then & I still don't and am so happy all the time that I don't have kids. That's just not the life I want. 
If I change my mind in like 15 years, I would be a foster parent.

I always knew I wanted to have one if I found the right partner, but I didn’t truly know how many until my later 20s. We both sat at 1-2 and we’re sticking with 2. Some women don’t really realize it til their bioclock starts ticking or they find the right person.

When I was around 15 already knew I wanted to be a mother. Back then I wanted 3 children, by now(34 years old) I would be happy with one or two.

It was off and on, but I knew I didn’t want to spend my thirties bring pregnant. So mid to late twenties. I had my first at twenty three and currently 24 pregnant with my second.

I knew my whole life I wanted kids. And we talked about it straight away expectation when we met (28 and 30 at the time) and that we would get engaged then buy a house then get married and then I would come off birth control and see what happened. Well fertility issues happened. But that was our plan

I always knew I'd want want kids one day, but it wasn't until I met my husband that it turned from a "one day" thing to something I really wanted to work towards. I was 23 when we started dating, but it wasn't until I was 26 that we started trying - and by that time we were already engaged and living together. 
My sister never knew if she wanted kids. She always thought she'd be fine without them, and her husband doesn't want them, so she figured it wouldn't happen. But now that I'm pregnant and she's in her late 30s, she realized that it is something she wants. 
It's different for everyone - some people always know, some people don't know until they meet the right person, and some don't know until they're faced with the reality of their biological clock. I don't think it matters when you decide you want kids, but I do think it's important to keep the door open if you're genuinely not sure.

I always knew I wanted kids, but it wasn’t really made a for sure thing until I got pregnant while on birth control and had my first son. He’s now 3 and I’m pregnant with our second baby and we know this will be our last.

I didn’t want kids until I was in my mid twenties. As a teenager I was against it, as college student I thought I couldn’t handle that type of responsibility but wasn’t against it when I got older. Then I met my now husband. Three years into our relationship I realized I wanted kids but only with him either biologically or adoption.
