Just laid my son down for first time in 2 weeks

Mc

I have had back issues for years, and for a week of my pregnancy couldn’t even walk I was in so much pain. Threw my back out 2 weeks ago and couldn’t lay my son to sleep in his crib. Tried to power through one night since my husband was already in bed and ended up crawling from my son’s room in tears.

Started researching options like crazy and came across French door cribs, which a lot of wheelchair users apparently DIY bc so few companies make them and they’re super expensive. Convinced my dad to help me adapt our backup crib (that was too high) in the garage and after a few design fails finally have something safe and sturdy with a combination of slide bolts and a barricade bar.

So happy to be feeling almost good enough to lay him down normally but knowing I don’t have to and risk making my injury worse! Definitely something to consider for any mamas with mobility issues.
