ARE YOU JUST DOING IT FOR THE KID(s)?

Question

I think about leaving my husband mostly bc I don’t think he is a great partner or provider for our family. I love him but he is making life harder for me, not easier. 
I just don’t want my daughter to not have both of us under the same roof and we have a son on the way. I don’t want to break my family up. 
I can’t do that to my babies.

I thought this too but them I start thinking what if my son grows up thinking this is how you treat a lady? Or that this relationship is normal? I dont want that. And yeah you can try hiding it but kids are way smarter than you think. They pick up on vibes and energy too

Thats what my mum did. She was absolutely miserable and my dad kept cheating. Me and my brother would have preferred them to divorce. 
Please don’t stay in an unhappy relationship because of the children.

I would do everything possible before taking that step, councelling, therapy, even a trial break... then I would see where that would lead us... in regards to the example for your daughter, would you want her to be with someone like your husband and stay?

It will be worse oj your kids if you stay unhappy. That will teach them they are supposed to be unhappy in their own relationship.

when I left my ex the thoughts that went through my head was 
“If I stay with him for the kids.... then one day my children will have moved out.... and I will be at home with a man I do not love and I will grow old in a home with a life that I regret when I could have left nice and early raised our kids right and co parent right and find my happiness” 
So that’s what I did... I left 8 years ago. We co parent amazing.... my kids have a living relationship with us both! I am now happily married with someone who is so perfectly suited for me and we are having baby.... if I had stayed with my ex.... I wouldn’t be happy like I am now. And he hasn’t changed (my ex) so when I talk to him and hear that he is still the same man (in regards to the way he treats me he is great with his kids) it just makes me so friggen sick and relieved that I left! 
It’s better for children to see two happy parents then parents who share no love.

I wouldn’t stay if you aren’t happy and if he’s not a good partner. My boyfriends parents do not have a healthy marriage and although he is a good partner to me, I know that he doesn’t like seeing his parents so unhappy even after all these years. I think it really bothers him and his siblings. Especially when we have family gatherings or go on vacation and you can feel that something is going on between them. It just isn’t a good situation overall.

You are not doing your kids any favors by staying in a relationship you don’t want to be in.
