is it ok to wear a tampon with a yeast infection?

y’all i know this may be a really dumb question but i only have tampons and panty liners. i don’t even own underwear that could support a pad lmao. i have already taken the first dose of fluconazole a day ago and i am not using monistat or anything like that.

From the research ive done it should be safe to just wear tampons, I would just be cautious and not leave one in too long so you’re not risking the yeast infection getting worse

Terrible idea to use tampons. That yeast infection needs to come out and you need to let your down there get air. Go buy pads & proper underwear that you can wear pads with. Your period should help get rid of the yeast infection by allowing It to flow out onto a pad.

If you feel comfortable with one on then use it but like the other comment said dont leave it in for a long time. But i just wouldn’t do it because I’ll feel uncomfortable
