Do you know anyone who has had the vaccine and the baby has been born okay?

I’m on the fence about the vaccine. Doctors say to take it at 14-36 weeks. Currently I’m 11. I’m nervous and want to be sure that everything will be okay. This is my first pregnancy. 
Please do not leave any negative comments or political opinions. Just saying 😘

We can’t tell you what to do this is a decision you have to make for you and your baby. I personally will not be getting it due to the unknown and not enough information. I hate when doctors force vaccines. I am def pro Vaxer but this is something i am choosing not to take

I was on the fence about getting the vaccine. My OB recommended it. He said the risk of getting serious complications from COVID is higher than the risk of the vaccine. I got the first dose 2/19 and will get 2nd dose 3/19. It’s definitely a scary decision, and I’m sad us mama’s are faced with it. I definitely want what is best for me and my baby! I am trusting my dr on this one, and praying it’s the right decision!

I understand that it can feel overwhelming.  I have always planned to get vaccinated, but I admit I would have been a little hesitant in the first ten weeks because I have previously had a loss and so my anxiety was already high.  Just sharing some facts and thoughts that may be helpful to you in deciding:
Pregnant women weren’t in the original clinical trials because it’s generally considered unethical to test something unproven on pregnant women 
Women in the clinical trials did get pregnant and did not report unusual adverse outcomes 
Clinical trials are beginning to be run in pregnant women, now that we have a body of research on non pregnant women and the random women who got pregnant in the trials or who were vaccinated once approved use began 
To the best of my knowledge, there has been no scientific literature to suggest that it could be harmful
Most doctors won’t really weigh in if you should or shouldn’t until there is a body of research on pregnant women 
Pregnant women can suffer serious cases of covid-19 if they get ill

I got my first shot a week before I found out I was pregnant. I talked with my PCP before getting it because we were trying and he said that it was probably fine, but with no studies no one can know for sure and that if I felt more comfortable waiting for a traditional vaccine that was a valid choice. 
The OB doc I see  suggests all pregnant women get vaccinated since you are at higher risk of complications from COVID when pregnant. For me the rewards outweigh the risks. 
Studies are also showing that getting the vaccine may give your newborn immunity as well.

I am genuinely confused. My doctor said pregnant women couldn’t get it?!? I have seen a couple people asking about this

My OB told me no and then said it was probably fine. I don’t qualify, and have no intention of getting it regardless.

I live in Texas and I used to worked as a healthcare worker. I got my first dose while I wasn’t pregnant but conceived around the time I got my vaccine and I got my second dose while I was just about 5 weeks pregnant. My dr said it was fine that I got it but that of course we don’t know how it’s effecting pregnant woman and their babies. I didn’t get any symptoms with both vaccines and I’m 10 weeks today and so far everything is looking good with me and baby. I pray that everything continues to go good and baby is as healthy as I can be. 🙏🏻

Every OB I talked to had a different opinion on this. I got my first vaccine at 9 weeks and second vaccine at 13 weeks. Baby is doing well! Only symptom was a sore arm.

I’m an RN. I know one person who got first shot at 33 weeks and baby was born without any issues, healthy.  I also have several co workers who are pregnant who got it but haven’t had their babies yet but so far everything looks fine. I do know they were both pretty sick after getting the second shot to the point they called into work. But that isn’t unusual from other non pregnant people after second shot.  My OB strongly recommends it even tho there were no trials done on pregnant women. I have done my own research, as well as thinking about it a lot and have decided not to get it at this point.
